Monique Mills is a seasoned entrepreneur, engineer, and business strategist with a track record of success in technology, startups, and franchise operations. With a background in electrical engineering, an MBA from Georgia Tech, and extensive experience in SaaS and marketing, she has built and scaled multiple businesses by leveraging data-driven decision-making and innovative growth strategies. Monique is also deeply committed to education—she homeschooled her children while working full-time and earning her MBA, instilling in them the same drive for excellence that defines her career. Now, she’s applying her expertise to GLO30’s cutting-edge skincare model, bringing its AI-driven, subscription-based approach to Metro Atlanta.

We sat down with Monique to discuss why she chose GLO30, her passion for tech-driven solutions, and her vision for expanding the brand in the Atlanta market.

What drew you to GLO30 as a business opportunity?

As a woman in STEM with a background in electrical engineering and extensive experience as both a tech entrepreneur and consultant, I am deeply inspired by GLO30’s founder, Dr. Arleen Lamba, who shares my background in science and innovation. I am particularly passionate about supporting a woman-owned brand and strongly resonate with GLO30’s focus on innovation and technology. The brand’s use of AI for personalized skincare is compelling because it aligns perfectly with my technical expertise.

Additionally, my 10+ years of experience in the SaaS industry have given me a deep appreciation for the power of the subscription-based model. I understand how critical it is to align offerings with customer needs and the vital role customer success and retention play in long-term growth. GLO30’s subscription-based approach is a model I am excited about leveraging in the beauty and wellness space.

On top of my tech and strategy background, I have extensive experience as a marketer for startups. I understand how to build and grow brands by aligning marketing strategies with customer insights, and I am confident that I can apply this knowledge to help GLO30 thrive in new markets.

I see GLO30 as the perfect opportunity to apply my expertise in technology, customer success, marketing, and business strategy to a fast-growing industry that is ripe for disruption. From what I’ve learned about GLO30, this brand is a natural fit for me both personally and professionally.

If you had to describe the “soul” of the GLO30 brand, how would you put it?

The soul of GLO30 is about empowerment through healthy skin. It’s not just about focusing on superficial beauty, but about getting to the root of what makes skin truly healthy. GLO30 helps clients take control of their skin health in a personalized way, enabling them to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin.

What are your long-term goals for your GLO30 business?

At least 5 units within the next 5 years. Initially, I plan to complete a thorough market analysis of the Metro Atlanta area to understand its capacity and potential demand for GLO30 services. Once I have more data on how much the market can support, I’ll reassess and explore additional opportunities for growth. My goal is to scale strategically, ensuring that each location is well-positioned for success, while being open to expanding further if the market conditions are favorable.

What in your background qualifies you to be one of GLO30’s top franchisees? What qualities to you have that embodies GLO30’s values?

My unique combination of technical problem-solving abilities, entrepreneurial, and business expertise qualifies me to be one of the top GLO30 franchisees. I have a background in electrical engineering, an MBA from Georgia Tech, and over a decade of experience as a tech entrepreneur and consultant, particularly with subscription-based models like SaaS. As both a founder and consultant, I’ve successfully sold the vision and value proposition behind new technologies to investors and customers alike.

I’m driven by innovation, a passion for empowering others, and a desire to support a woman-owned business that aligns with my values. Most importantly, my family is my biggest motivator—my two children pursuing medicine and my supportive husband inspire me to strive for excellence.

My career success is built on a balance of competence, professionalism, and approachability, all while maintaining a results-focused mindset. I’m also passionate about mentoring and empowering others through leadership, which I believe aligns perfectly with GLO30’s mission.

What will your organizational structure look like as you grow your locations?

My organizational structure will follow GLO30’s established model while incorporating my personal experience in business management and growth. In the early stages, as Owner/Operator, I will oversee business development, customer engagement, and ensure that the first studio is positioned for success. I will remain actively involved as the business scales to additional units.

As more locations are established, I plan to hire a general manager to handle the day-to-day operations. Each location will be staffed with a front desk administrator, licensed estheticians, and nurses as required.

For accounting, I will use outsourced services to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. Leveraging my background in marketing strategy, I will personally drive customer acquisition and retention efforts, while outsourcing tactical marketing functions as needed.

Why did you choose the Metro Atlanta market for GLO30, and which areas are you targeting first?

Metro Atlanta is more car-centric than some other cities, and many residents are willing to drive to specific destinations for services they value. In this context, areas that don’t rely heavily on foot traffic but are easily accessible by car and situated near major thoroughfares or within well-connected suburbs would be strong candidates for a GLO30 franchise.

Alpharetta would be the first location I develop, as I live there. It is a thriving suburban area known for its high-income population, family-oriented communities, and booming tech sector. The mix of affluent families and professionals makes it an ideal market for GLO30.

The other areas I’ve identified include Decatur and Peachtree City, both of which have unique demographics that align well with GLO30’s customer base.

Outside of the brand’s marketing support, how do you plan to market your GLO30 locations?

I will leverage my years of experience in marketing strategy for emerging startups and innovative companies to effectively promote my GLO30 franchise. My marketing tactics will include customer acquisition through digital marketing campaigns, targeted local ads, email marketing, and active participation in local community events.

Additionally, I may implement referral programs with local makeup artists and influencers to create a steady stream of referrals from clients already receiving professional beauty services.

Furthermore, with my vast network in the Metro Atlanta business ecosystem, I plan to collaborate with fellow business owners and use my social media following, word-of-mouth, and personal outreach to build awareness and support for each GLO30 location.

Where do you see your business in the next 5-7 years?

In 5-7 years, I see my GLO30 business thriving with at least 5 units fully operational. While I will start with 5 units upon signing the franchise agreement, I plan to reassess the potential for additional locations after conducting further market research.

As the business grows, I anticipate having a General Manager overseeing all locations, with Location Managers at each unit to ensure consistent day-to-day operations.

With a powerhouse entrepreneur like Monique Mills at the helm, GLO30 is set to make a major impact in Metro Atlanta. Stay tuned for more updates as she brings this innovative skincare concept to life!
