“Latinos are the engine of the business, but they’re not owning the business,” said the man who created the concept 10 years ago to share his ancestors’ recipes and to provide his community with jobs.
“It’s time that we give people — Latinos, immigrants, and anyone with a dream — an opportunity to own businesses. Throughout the United States, you see a lot of taquerias popping up everywhere, but there’s no strong franchising model for authentic Mexican restaurants, until now. At Cilantro Taco Grill, we want to share our success with other families who want to own their own business and succeed in life. That’s why we worked with Fransmart and Armando to bring this opportunity worldwide through franchising.”
Cilantro Taco Grill will add three corporate locations in the Chicagoland area by year’s end, as well as multiple franchise locations throughout Illinois and Texas.
