The “Official Cookie of Broadway” Goes Coast to Coast with Franchise Deal
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 5, 2023) – Schmackary’s, New York City’s award-winning cookie franchise that recently captivated audiences on Hulu’s Only Murders in The Building, has just completed a multi-unit franchise agreement with Sharian Lott, bringing the brand to the West Coast. This marks yet another strategic step in their franchising initiative after recently expanding into New Jersey and further into New York.

Lott and her family have a deep history both in San Diego and the Broadway community. Daughter of Dorothy Smith, the first Black woman elected to office in San Diego and purveyor of the longest running Black theater in the country, Lott has spent her lifetime embedded within San Diego’s community. She is also the mother of Broadway star, Loren Lott.
Sharian Lott is stepping into the spotlight herself with this latest venture with Schmackary’s, “You know, I’ve supported my mom for so long. I’m proudly known as Dorothy’s daughter, or Loren’s mother. Now, it’s my time to venture out on my own merits and serve my community. I want to create a place that brings happiness to all who enter.
