This is your chance to introduce yourself to the brand. The BQ offers you the opportunity to explain the business you’re trying to build, why this franchise brand speaks to you, your 5 year and 10 year plan, and your motivations to franchise.

We’ll provide you with a copy of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), which contains a lot of information about the concept, its operations, and the agreements you will sign to become a franchise partner. We want you to be able to make the most informed decision possible.

Before getting approved to attend an in-person Discovery Day with the franchisor, you’ll sit down for a Pre-Discovery Day interview to further qualify your interest, expectations, and suitability before both parties invest their time and expense in a Discovery Day event.

The Discovery Day is your chance to dive headfirst into the brand. You’ll visit a few of the brand’s locations, meet the team, and explore the operations that make the brand successful. This is your chance for the brand to validate your interest and for you to confirm that the brand is a fit for your future goals.

If you are approved to move forward after the Discovery Day, you’ll then receive the franchise agreement – a legal document between you and the franchisor. This document explains what the franchisor expects of you (the franchisee) and designates the territory you’ll operate.

Signing the Franchise Agreement indicates that you agree with all of the brand’s terms, including those laid out in the FDD. You’ll pay your initial franchise fee at this time – and then it’s time to get to work on opening your first location!

Your brand will have an onboarding and opening process in place – so make sure to follow these guidelines. You’ll work with the franchisor on real estate selection, budgeting, financing, planning, and more. Following this process, your first location will be ready to open its doors!
