The unique chain offers dumplings in varieties like Philly cheese steak and crab Rangoon. Now the Hoboken location has an opening date.
HOBOKEN, NJ — A long-awaited restaurant on Hoboken’s Washington Street has given an opening date.
Brooklyn Dumpling shop at 514 Washington St. will open the week of Oct. 25, the owners said Wednesday.
The shop passed its health inspection Wednesday, Sept. 21.
The store is part of a chain that offers unusual dumplings in varieties from peanut butter and jelly to the Philly cheesesteak to Maryland crab cake.
The Hoboken location has maintained some of the facade and historic clock from the past. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, it was the hip bookstore Blackwater Books. Decades earlier, it was a furrier, according to one source.
